Prescribed acne medications are always hitting the news with their potentially life threatening side effects. Just this week we have heard how Rachel Yeo has been left partially blind after being prescribed Minocycline, an antibiotic meant to cure her acne. There is a natural acne treatment that is clinically proven to work and has no side effects – could this be the answer to your acne problem?

Here are just a few different types of medication prescribed and their potential problems:

Oral contraceptives: Oral contraceptives can improve acne in women. However, they may cause other side effects — such as headaches, nausea and depression. The most serious potential complication is a slightly increased risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and blood clots.

Antibiotics: For moderate to severe acne, you may be prescribed a short course of prescription oral antibiotics to reduce bacteria and fight inflammation. Since oral antibiotics were first used to treat acne, antibiotic resistance has increased significantly in people with acne. Antibiotics may cause side effects, such as an upset stomach, dizziness or skin discolouration. These drugs also increase your skin’s sun sensitivity.

Isotretinoin (Roaccutane): This is a powerful drug in the retinoid group. It’s used for severe or moderate acne that can’t be controlled with other treatments. It reduces the amount of oil made by glands in the skin. It also curbs inflammation and reduces clogged hair follicles. The most common side effects are dryness of the skin, eyes, mouth, lips, and nose. Other side effects include nosebleeds, achiness, diminished night vision, sun sensitivity, changes in triglyceride levels and liver function and depression

Natural acne treatment with no side effects:
help: clear skin contains, clinically proven acne fighting ingredient, Lactoferrin that has no side effects. Lactoferrin works in two ways. Firstly, it inhibits the growth of the propionibacterium acnes (P.acnes), which is present on most people’s skin and responsible for acne, thereby lessening the number of new skin blemishes forming. Secondly its anti-inflammatory properties mean that the size of blemishes is reduced and blemishes heal quicker resulting in a smoother complexion.

Now I know we can talk the talk and tell you exactly how effective lactoferrin is in the treatment of acne vulgaris but many people out there that are skeptical about the effectiveness of a 100% natural acne treatment. So, let us show you some images from both the clinical studies and our very own case study participants… None of the images have been digitally altered.
