Take a look at these 8 acne-fighting foods to add to your daily diet that may just help you in the battle to banish the bumps and get you on the road to clear skin.

  1. Almonds – Rich in the antioxidant selenium, almonds – as well as brazil nuts, garlic and onion, garlic — help protect skin’s elasticity and can also reduce inflammation.
  2. Spinach – Skip the iceberg lettuce and opt for these nutrient-rich leaves in your salad. The wealth of Vitamin K, A and Iron help to banish breakouts – and protect against future spots.
  3. Green tea – Antioxidant-rich foods such as green tea are the natural enemy to the free radicals that are often associated with breakouts. Try cherries and other assorted berries for a sweet and powerful snack.
  4. Eggs – Aside from packing a powerful punch of protein, eggs are also a great source of Vitamin E, which has been proven to Vitamin E help protect skin from scarring.
